When it came to our work lives, we historically haven’t had much choice around how we actually worked (and most of us still don’t). We may have the opportunity to pick the company we work for but aside from that we all have to pretty much “follow the rules” set in place by others…managers and executives. Who we work with, when we work, what we wear to work, the technology we use, and almost everything else is dictated by others. However, if there’s one thing that can be said about the future of work (and yes I have said many things) it’s “choice.” In fact, everywhere we look we are starting to be presented with more choices.
